Alphonso mango pulp is derived from carefully selected, high-quality ripened Alphonso mangoes. This renowned fruit was introduced to India by the Portuguese explorer Alfonso through Goa and later spread to Ratnagiri in Maharashtra, Gujarat, and various parts of South India. Among the different varieties of Alphonso mangoes, those cultivated in Devgad, located in Maharashtra’s Konkan region, are considered the finest. Often referred to as Hapus or Hapoos in Maharashtra, Alphonso is celebrated as the "King of Mangoes" due to its exceptional flavor, richness, and sweetness, making it highly sought after in both domestic and international markets.

As a seasonal fruit, Alphonso mango is available only from April to the end of June, adding to its exclusivity and significance. Due to its rich taste and versatility, Alphonso mango is a preferred choice for pulp manufacturers in India, serving various food processing industries.
